The Austria Center Vienna (ACV) is one of the largest and most significant congress centers in Austria. It was opened in 1987, adjacent to the United Nations headquarters. Since then, it has garnered numerous awards for its world-class infrastructure, exceptional service, and innovative use of technology. Designed by architect Karl von Fischer, the center has continually evolved into a modern venue with advanced features. With 24 halls, 180 meeting rooms, and an expansive 26,000 m² of exhibition space, the Austria Center Vienna can comfortably accommodate over 23,000 attendees at a time, making it an ideal location for global gatherings like ECR 2026. Today, it hosts most international events, including major conferences, exhibitions, cultural programs, seminars, and training workshops.
How to reach?
The venue is located around 13 miles from Vienna International Airport, with multiple convenient transport options available. Visitors can travel by tram, taxi, or public transport. Direct train services, such as the City Airport Train (CAT), the Express Train S7, and the ÖBB Railjet, connect the airport to Vienna’s main hubs, including Vienna Central Station and Praterstern. Additionally, the airport shuttle lines VAL1, VAL2, and VAL3 provide easy, direct access to the city and the congress centre.
